Become a Friend of the Marlborough Downs

If like us you love the Marlborough Downs, and you're also a fan of the work we're doing to keep it special, there are a number of ways you can support the project.

Like and Follow our facebook page - The more followers we have, the further our message travels, as not only will you see all our posts but your friends will too.

Register as a Space for Nature volunteer - There are lots of ways to get involved so let's find out what would suit you! You might want to help out with one-off practical tasks like hedge planting, scrub bashing or ragwort pulling, which would be great. Or maybe you have an idea for an event you'd like to lead up on the Downs - examples of things we've done with volunteer leaders include butterfly and bird surveys, fungus and herb forays, and heritage walks. Alternatively, you might have skills in fund-raising, grant applications, marketing, IT or something else that would help us to raise money, or work more efficiently. Whatever you have to offer, we'd be very pleased to hear from you!

Become a Friend of the Marlborough Downs and you can bask in the warm feeling that comes with knowing that you're helping to feed farmland birds over the winter, to provide foraging areas for pollinators, and to enable us to offer a whole range of community events to get people out and about on the Downs and learn more about the landscape and wildlife. And as well as this, you get to come along to our exclusive spring and autumn member-only events, where you can keep up with what's happening, what's planned, and who's involved. You might even decide that you'd like to become a member of one of our planning groups.

Or why not go the whole hog and do all three!
