Next steps for agri-environment

This will be the first in a series of events and activities whereby you as farmers and agri-environment agreement holders (current, past and potential) will have the chance to shape the structure of the new environmental land management scheme, from application process, agreement format and duration, to monitoring and evaluation, payment rates and timing, and everything else in between.  Going forward, we'll also explore what the future of farmer-led groups might look like and feed everything back to Defra.  Never before have you, the customer, had such an important opportunity to play a big part in the deelopment of a new national scheme so please make every effort to attend if you can.  If you don't get involved, you can't complain when Defra role out another unworkable, unrealistic, over-administrative scheme!
