Practical Volunteer Day

Join Marlborough Downs farmers at Temple Farm, between Broad Hinton and Rockley, to find out how chalk grassland is being managed to restore biodiversity by grazing with traditional breed of cattle. Your main task will be to remove non-native trees which, if left in place, would grow up to shade out the wildflowers and grasses in the sward and destroy this rare habitat. In return, you'll get to meet the cattle and enjoy a delicious lunch (provided) in the fresh air!
